Welcome to our webinar on leveraging CodeHS Pro tools. My name is Matt, and I'm joined by Rachel; we are Customer Success Managers here to walk you through the value of our Pro features. Today, we will cover lesson plans, progress monitoring, grading settings, and the Academic Integrity Center.
CodeHS is a comprehensive platform for teaching K-12 computer science. We provide web-based curriculum, professional development, and a software platform that requires no additional downloads or plugins.
Our Lesson Plans include vocabulary, problem guides, and standards. Problem guides are particularly helpful for teachers new to computer science, as they provide the motivation and the solution for every activity. Progress Monitoring starts with our Progress App, where you can track student work by assignment or module using a color-coded status key.
The Real-Time Dashboard is a favorite feature. It refreshes every six minutes to show student activity. It also includes Focus Mode, which allows you to bring every student to the same page—like a specific video or exercise—to keep the class on track.
In the Configure App, you can manage assigned settings, set due dates, and control access by locking or scheduling assignments. You can also choose between teacher-graded and autograded formats. For teacher-graded assignments, Fast Grade allows you to compare student code to solutions quickly and use canned responses for feedback. We also offer AI Grading for assignments without autograder compatibility.
Finally, our Academic Integrity Center includes plagiarism reports and similarity scores. You can use the Code History tool to see snapshots of student work and determine if code was typed manually or pasted. You can also prevent copy-pasting via your section settings.
