The World of Computing course is an introductory computer science course that introduces the basics of programming with Karel the Dog and allows students to explore what a computer is and how technology has affected their lives. Students have the option to code in either blocks or text.

Yes. The course lets students choose blocks or text, so a class with mixed reading levels or no typing experience can still take it.
They program Karel the Dog and work through a What is Computing? unit covering what a computer is and how technology has affected their lives. A pretest and posttest bracket the course so you can measure growth.

Instead of using this course (titled "World of Computing (2023)"), we highly suggest you use the "World of Computing" course which is our most updated version.
