Utah Interdisciplinary Computer Science: Kindergarten

This course is aligned to UT standards and is designed to provide computer science instruction for Utah kindergarten students. This course integrates coding into math, science, ELA, and social studies lessons. It is meant to be taught approximately once a week by the general education teacher.

UNITS - 8 (45 lessons)
Students learn the basics of programming.
Students learn to demonstrate Math concepts using programming.
Students learn to demonstrate Science concepts using programming.
Students learn to demonstrate ELA concepts using programming.
Students learn to demonstrate Social Studies concepts using programming.
Students learn programming skills.
Students learn Digital Literacy skills.
Introduces real-world AI examples and has students build a simple decision tree to sort items based on rules, ending with a quiz.
