Exploring Digital Citizenship 6th Grade introduces students to safe, ethical, and responsible technology use through engaging, real-world activities. Students build critical thinking and decision-making skills as they learn about online safety, digital footprints, privacy, cyberbullying prevention, and respectful online communication. By the end of the course, students are prepared to navigate connected spaces confidently, protect their digital identities, and contribute positively to online communities.

No. It is entirely about digital citizenship, and no programming language is attached to the course.
About 10 contact hours. It is sized to drop into an existing class rather than to fill a term.
6th grade. CodeHS places it at 6th in the Digital Citizenship in Middle School pathway, which runs 6th, 7th and 8th.
This one is the broadest and shortest, covering footprints, privacy and cyberbullying in 10 hours. The 7th grade course mostly covers cybersecurity topics which include: threats, passwords, encryption and phishing in 15 hours. The 8th grade course is 18 hours on protecting personal data, recognizing threats and evaluating digital information.
