CodeHS offers fully customizable K-12 computer science pathways to fit the needs of every district. Pathways are designed to align with state standards and national standards covering various computer science, programming, and CTE related topics.
Students learn block-based coding and build their digital literacy across this elementary pathway. This pathway is designed for schools that have a designated computer science teacher who meets with students on a weekly basis.
Students are introduced to various topics in CS, including: text-based coding languages, web design, digital citizenship, networks, and game design. In the final year of this pathway, students take an introductory coding course in Python that will prepare them for high school CS courses.
CodeHS offers courses that are 100% aligned with the first two courses in this pathway. For the Level 3 course, the CodeHS Game Development in Unity course is 59% aligned.
CodeHS offers a course that is 100% aligned with the first course in this pathway. For the Level 2 and Level 3 courses, the Data Science with Python and/or the Applications of AI and Machine Learning courses are recommended.
