The Creative Computing course is a first year computer science course introducing the basics of web design and programming concepts. Students learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and students create a culminating personal portfolio website showcasing projects they build throughout the course.

Web Design
Students learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and the processes involved in viewing web pages on the internet. |
Introduction to Programming with Karel the Dog
Students learn about JavaScript syntax, functions, control structures, and proper programming formatting by giving commands to Karel the dog. |
JavaScript and Graphics
Students move beyond Karel into real JavaScript and learn the basics of variables, user input, and basic graphics. |
