In the Texas Tech Apps course for 7th grade, students explore key concepts in programming, cybersecurity, web design, and data science. Through hands-on coding with Karel the Dog, students learn to write functions, use loops and conditionals, and apply logical thinking to solve challenges. They examine how the internet works, dive into online safety and encryption, and build their own websites using HTML and CSS. The course also features creative coding with JavaScript and engaging projects in data analysis and storytelling.
