The first step in becoming an IT professional is learning about all the different jobs within this field. The Cyber Career Profiles page on Cyber.org is the perfect place to start. This site provides information on several career paths in the cybersecurity and IT field. Go to the website and click on the different careers to open the graphic and see further details. Consider the questions below as you view the career path information. Once you’re done exploring and have found 1-2 careers you are most interested in, answer the questions in complete sentences in the editor. 1. Which job duty listed do you think you would enjoy the most? Why? 2. Which job duty do you think you might enjoy the least? Why? 3. Soft skills are about how you think and act rather than what you know, so you may already be skilled in some of the soft skills listed! Which soft skill do you think you are strongest in? Explain what makes you think this. 4. Which soft skill do you think could be strengthened? How do you think you could develop this skill? 5. Under the ‘Degree Required’ panel on the left-hand side, some items listed are not degrees, but certifications, such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and CompTIA Security +. Look up one of these certifications. What information have you learned so far in this course that would apply to one of these certifications?
